Description
Extra Long Range (ELR) KVM Extender for HDMI, USB 2.0, and IR over two CAT-5 cables The GefenToolBox KVM ELR Extender for HDMI 3DTV extends any Hi-Def, IR, and USB from a home theater multimedia PC that can be located up to 330 feet (100 meters) away using two CAT-5 cables. The Receiver unit allows the connection of HDMI and two USB devices, providing access to printers, scanners, cameras, external storage media, digital signage, and automated control systems in addition to the display. USB 2.0 transfer rate up to 480 Mbps is supported. This product uses Gefen ELR (Extra Long Range) technology, supporting HDBaseT specifications, allowing transmission of HDMI and IR signals along the same CAT-5 cable. USB 2.0 is extended over the second CAT-5 cable. How It Works: Using the included 6 ft. HDMI cable, connect the Hi-Def source to the input Sender unit. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the USB host (source) device to the USB port on the Sender unit. Connect the Receiver unit at the output remote location to the HDTV display with an HDMI cable. Connect the USB devices, if necessary, to the Receiver unit. Use two CAT-5 cables, up to 330 feet (100 meters), to connect the Sender unit to the Receiver unit USB output ports. Connect the locking power supplies to the Sender and Receiver units and plug the power cords into available electrical outlets.
